OUR MISSION STATEMENT:
PROVIDING YOU WITH A TREASURE
Our mission is to provide you with a priceless
treasure that will last for generations. The treasure will be a video
biography of a loved one in any format you choose. It will be priceless
and created with the same integrity and care as the video I have created
of my own grandparents. This video of your loved one will ensure that
future generations may know the person you love.
MY EXPERIENCE WITH VIDEO BIOGRAPHY AND
MY TWO GRANDPAS
Robert Kiyosaki wrote a book called "Rich
Dad, Poor Dad" about his two fathers who taught him different lessons.
If I were to write a similarly titled book pertaining to video biography
and my own experiences, I would call it "Known Grandpa, Unknown
Grandpa." I would choose this title because I had two grandfathers:
one who I knew very well up until his death in January 2004; the other
who died before I was born. My Mom's Dad, Grandpa Abe, was the Grandfather
I never met. To "know" him, I have had to rely on my parents'
subjective descriptions of him and a few photos here and there. Sadly,
I have no real sense of knowing my Grandpa Abe. To be sure, if I were
granted the wish of meeting anyone living or dead, Grandpa Abe would
be my first choice. I wish so badly that some videotapes existed of my
Grandpa Abe. But, alas, none do.

My wife Auri with Grandpa Ben
In contrast, my Grandpa Ben, pictured here with my wife, Auri, was the Grandfather
I knew very well and he was my Dad's Dad. I adored him and felt a profound
connection to him. I loved him the second I met him and that love remained
constant throughout our relationship.
Later in life, I came to realize that I had many questions about my family
and my Grandpa. Many of these questions my Father could not answer about his
own Father or family. I decided it was time to interview my Grandpa and Grandma
on every topic I could think of. I also decided to record all of these interviews
on video.
My Grandparents truly enjoyed this process. And during the taping, I learned
many things that no one in my family knew. Even my Grandparents were surprised
by some of their own memories that were elicited in the process of the interviews.
And now I have a permanent document on high quality video. Memories do fade
but thankfully, video does not. When you hire Grandpa's Memories videography
service you can be sure that you, your family, and future generations will
share in a permanent treasure.
